Generate a mock payslip from your dashboard
Use the Generate mock payslip button to preview an estimate of your salary based on your current benefits and expenses.
When your company has it switched on, your dashboard shows a Generate mock payslip button that previews an estimate of your salary for the current month. It pulls together the monthly salary and tax table your employer has on file, plus this month's approved expenses, and shows the result as a simulated payslip. It is a preview only: nothing is sent to payroll and nothing about your pay changes.
Find the button
The Generate mock payslip button sits near the top of your dashboard. Hover over it to see the tooltip See an estimate of your salary based on current benefits and expenses, and a short note titled About this estimate that explains what the figure is based on.
If you do not see the button, your company has not enabled this feature. It is available for companies in Sweden because the calculation uses the Swedish tax tables.
Generate the preview
Select Generate mock payslip.
CLVR builds the estimate and opens it in a preview window. The simulated payslip is marked Beta so it is clear this is an estimate, not your real pay slip.
Read through the line items and the summary. You can download a copy as a PDF, or close the preview when you are done. Closing it does not save or send anything.
What the estimate is based on
The mock payslip starts from your monthly salary (your annual salary divided by twelve) and applies the tax table your employer has on file for you. It then layers in this month's approved expenses and benefits:
- Reimbursements paid from your benefit allowance are added in.
- Salary deductions, for example the part of an expense that went over your remaining balance, are taken off.
- Taxable benefits (BIK) add to the amount you are taxed on, even though they are not paid out in cash.
Tax is then calculated using the Swedish SKV 433 tables (column 1) to arrive at an estimated net pay for the month.
The estimate only counts expenses that are already approved for the current month. Reports still showing Pending or In review do not appear yet, so the figure can change once they clear.
Why your real payslip can differ
This is a simulation, not a guarantee. The estimate can differ from your actual pay for a few reasons:
- If the salary or tax table your employer has on file is out of date, the estimate will be off in the same way.
- Real payroll factors the mock payslip does not know about, such as absence, overtime, expenses, or one-off adjustments, can move the final amount.
- If your tax table on file is missing or not a valid number, CLVR falls back to a standard table and shows a warning on the generated payslip.
Troubleshooting
- I do not see the button. Your company has not enabled the mock payslip, or your company is outside Sweden. Nothing is wrong with your account.
- The estimate looks wrong. Check that an expense you expected is already approved, since pending reports are not counted. If your salary or tax table looks incorrect, ask your HR team to confirm the details they hold for you.
- The payslip shows a warning about the tax table. The tax table on your record could not be read, so a standard one was used. Contact your HR team to have it corrected.
