Ask the CLVR Assistant
How to ask the assistant about your company's policies from the account panel, what it can and cannot answer, and what the citations mean.
If your company has switched it on, the account panel has a third tab, Assistant. It answers questions about your company's policies from the documents HR has uploaded under Company Files, and it shows you where each answer came from.
Where to find it
Open the account panel from your avatar in the top right, then pick the Assistant tab. On a phone the panel fills the screen and the question box sits above the keyboard.
If you do not see the tab, your company has not turned the assistant on. Ask your HR team.
Asking a question
Type a question the way you would ask a colleague, in Swedish or English, and press Enter. The assistant answers in the language you asked in. While it is answering, the Stop button replaces Send; pressing it keeps what has arrived so far.
The empty tab suggests three questions to start from. Click one to ask it.
What the citations mean
Under an answer you will see one or more chips such as Personalhandbok, p. 4. Each one names the document and the page the answer came from. Click a chip to open that document at that page, so you can read the wording yourself.
When the documents do not cover a question
The assistant answers only from your company's uploaded documents. It does not use general knowledge about Swedish law or other companies, because your company's terms may differ. When the documents do not answer a question, it says so and points you to your HR team rather than guessing.
Unless your company has turned on the next part, it does not see your balance, your receipts, your salary or anyone's personal data. It reads policy documents and nothing else.
Your own allowance and receipts
If your HR team has also allowed it, the assistant can read your own benefit data: your allowance and what is left of it, the benefits you can see in the store, and your own expenses with their status. Then you can ask things like "how much do I have left?", "why is there a fee on top of my gym receipt?" or "can I afford this?". A small chip under the answer, such as "Checked your allowance", shows what it read.
You can also attach a receipt (a photo or a PDF, up to 10 MB) with the paperclip next to the question box and ask whether it can be claimed. The assistant reads the amount, picks the category, and tells you what your allowance would cover. It does not submit anything: upload the receipt under Expenses when you are ready. The file is not kept; after a reload only its name is shown.
The assistant sees your data and nobody else's. It will not answer about a colleague's balance or expenses, however the question is phrased. The one exception is what you have been asked to decide: if you approve expenses for others, ask "do I have anything to review?" and it lists the claims waiting on you as a card, and each row opens that expense for you to approve or decline without leaving the page. If you are an HR user, it can also answer about your company the way the HR pages show it: what is waiting for review, who has not used their allowance, who is declined most often, which employee is who. Looking somebody up shows them as a card with a link to their profile, or a list when several match. When an answer points to a page, it links it, and following the link keeps the chat open beside the page.
Sharing the page you are on
If your HR team has allowed it, the assistant can ask to see the page you are looking at. That is for questions about what is on the screen: why a button is greyed out, what an error notice means, which of two numbers counts. Ask the question and, when the assistant needs the page, it says so in one sentence and shows a card under it: Let CLVR Assistant see this page?, with the page's name.
The card says what is shared and what is not. Allow sends one snapshot of the page as it looks right now, as text: the headings, the values, the buttons and whether they can be pressed, an open dialog. Other tabs, your files and anything outside this window are never included. Don't allow sends nothing, and the assistant asks you to describe what you see instead. The card also links to the Trust Center.
Tick Keep access for the rest of this conversation before pressing Allow and every later question in that chat carries a fresh snapshot of whatever page you are on then. A small pill above the question box shows which page is being shared; press Stop on it, or Stop sharing on the row in the chat, to end it. A new chat starts without access.
The snapshot is sent once and is not stored. After a reload the chat shows only that you shared a page, its name and the time. The assistant sees what you can already see on your own screen, and nothing more.
Previous chats
Previous chats lists your earlier conversations. Open one to continue it, or delete it with the trash icon. Chats are kept for 90 days. HR never sees them; they only see which questions the documents could not answer, without names, and chats are left out of the data export your employer receives if they stop using CLVR. CLVR staff can read conversations to check the assistant's answers and improve it, and for nothing else; every time one of us opens a conversation it is recorded in our audit log, and a chat you delete is gone for us too.
Troubleshooting
- "The assistant has reached today's limit": your company, or you, have asked the day's maximum. The limit resets at midnight Swedish time.
- "There are no documents to answer from": HR has not uploaded any documents the assistant can read. Ask them to add your policies under Company Files.
- "The answer did not come through": the answer failed on the way. Nothing was saved; press Try again. If it happened right after you pressed Allow on the page card, the card comes back and you can allow again.
