Viewing What's New product updates
Open the What's New changelog any time from the version button in the footer to see recent product updates, and why it opens automatically for HR users after a new release.
CLVR ships product updates regularly, and you can read the full changelog whenever you like. At the bottom of every page the footer shows the version that is currently running, and selecting it opens the What's New window with the recent updates. Nothing to set up: it is just there for reference.
Open What's New
The footer at the bottom of the page shows a version button labelled CLVR v followed by the current version number (for example CLVR v1.28.5).
- Select that CLVR v... button.
- The What's New window opens and loads the changelog.
- While it loads you briefly see Loading changelog..., then the recent updates appear.
You can do this from anywhere in CLVR, as often as you want.
What you will see
The changelog lists recent releases, newest first. For each release you get the version number and its date, followed by the changes grouped under short labels so you can scan them quickly:
- NEW for new features.
- IMPROVED for refinements to things you already use.
- FIXED for resolved issues.
- CHANGED, UPDATED, or REMOVED for other adjustments.
There is nothing to act on inside the window: it is read-only update notes, not a settings page.
Close the window
Select the Close (X) button in the top right corner of the window. That returns you to whatever you were doing.
The version number in the footer always matches the release you are currently running, and it changes with each new release. If you ever want to check exactly which version you are on, the footer button is the quickest place to look.
Why it opens automatically for HR users
If you are an HR user, the What's New window opens by itself the first time you visit CLVR after a new version is released. It is the same changelog you can open any time from the footer, shown to you once so you do not miss what changed. When a new version goes live, CLVR compares it with the last version you saw; if they differ, the window opens automatically. This automatic pop-up is only for HR users. Everyone else sees the changes the same way, just without the automatic prompt.
To dismiss it, select the Close (X) button in the top right corner. Closing it records that you have seen the current version, so it will not open by itself again until the next release. There is nothing else to do: only the update notes are inside.
CLVR remembers the version you last saw in your browser's storage, so the automatic window can appear again in a couple of situations:
- You cleared your browser data. Clearing site data or storage erases the record of what you saw, so the window opens once more on your next visit. Closing it again sets the record back.
- You switched browsers or devices. The record is saved per browser, so a release you already dismissed on your laptop can still pop up the first time you open CLVR on another device.
In both cases this is expected, and closing the window settles it for that browser until the next release.
Troubleshooting
- The window keeps showing Loading changelog... Close it and open it again from the footer. The notes load over the network, so a slow connection can delay them briefly.
- I cannot find the version button. Scroll to the very bottom of the page. The footer sits below the main content, with the CLVR v... button next to the Trust Center, Privacy Policy, and Terms links.
